K-12 Student Programs/PSEO Online:
Get Off to a Great Start

The University has a large number of programs for K-12 students. High school students can earn college credit via the Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) and the College in the Schools program (CIS). A variety of non-credit learning opportunities at the U of M are also available to youth.

For Credit - PSEO Online

Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) is one of the most common ways high school students can get a jump on their college career. In addition to classroom-based offerings, PSEO provides Minnesota high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take courses online at the University of Minnesota. Students must meet the admissions requirements, but do not pay for tuition, fees, or books. Find out more about PSEO online offerings from Crookston and the Morris campuses that students can take from anywhere in the state.

PSEO coursework earns students high school credit, and they may apply to transfer the credits to any post-secondary institution of their choice when they apply to colleges.

Non-credit

The University of Minnesota offers many non-credit opportunities for K-12 students, parents, and teachers. The U of M College Readiness Consortium has developed a special K-12 web site with comprehensive program listings and advanced search capabilities.
